The Plant Medicine People Mission
We are people that profoundly love and respect Plant Medicine. We revere the tribes and traditions that have protected and shared these powerful beings for generations. We create safety for ourselves and all participants by doing this work in legal and welcoming settings (and we’re overjoyed this list continues to expand!) And while we are thrilled that Plant Medicines have dramatically expanded their reach in mass consciousness, we are concerned that most modern companies do nothing to honor the sentience and consciousness of the plants themselves. Thus, we created Plant Medicine People to not only guard and uplift all those called to work with these beings, but most importantly to honor and serve the Sacred Plants. They are our bosses, our teachers, our healers, and our best friends. We are unspeakably honored to be their voices and their humble yet empowered human partners.
Tina “Kat” Courtney
An 18 year veteran of Plant Medicines, and a traditionally trained Ayahuasquera and Huachumera, Kat is a pioneer in the Psychedelic Integration space. She co-founded Plant Medicine People with the core intention of uplifting gifted tribe members and exposing their superpowers, as well as helping sincere seekers find safe and sacred places to do this incredible healing work. She walks in humble reverence to the indigenous tribes that protected and passed on these traditions, and is committed to protecting their rights and interests, as well as those of the plants themselves. Kat is the CEO and Spokesperson for PMP, and pretty much does whatever the plants instruct :) She’s the author of Plant Medicine Mystery School Vol 1: The Superhero Healing Powers of Psychotropic Plants, is a Certified Death Doula, and she’s mostly made of Fire.
Laura Shapiro
Laura’s life was saved over a decade ago by Plant Medicine, and since her recovery, she’s been a pioneer in working with Ibogaine to help people heal from near-fatal addictions. She co-runs Clear Sky Recovery, an Ibogaine detox center, as the Director of Admissions, and co-founded Plant Medicine People as a natural next step to expand her reach and healing impact on behalf of the plants. During a brutally deep and profound Master Plant Diet with Lavender, Laura (and Lady Lav) first conceived of the PMP vision, which has now magically actualized. Laura runs the nuts and bolts of PMP, produces all retreats, and has a special penchant for creating the most incredible boutique travel experiences, paired with the power of sacred plants. She’s also a tried and true Scorpio, so beware the stinger, and the heart of gold.
Violaine & Jérémy
An artistic dynamic duo if every there was one! Violaine and Jérémy are quintessentially French, living as lovers and partners in a Paris-based design studio they founded in 2012. They spend their time perfecting their aesthetic, which they like to describe as refined, delicate, and timeless (as evidenced by this beloved website). They’ve experienced an unfathomable level of success given their youth, and yet in many ways they are just getting started leaving their mark in the world of art and design. In those rare moments they aren’t creating world-changing branding, websites, and art materials for big league clients (and PMP!), they experience joy through food, travel, and time spent with fellow passionate souls.
